Our Initiative
International Year of Women Farmer – 2026 (IYWF 2026) is a global advocacy and action platform aimed at highlighting the contribution of women farmers to food systems, nutrition security, climate resilience, and sustainable development.
The initiative works as a collaborative framework connecting women farmers, governments, institutions, development organisations, academia, and the private sector to create inclusive and scalable impact.
IYWF 2026 is led by 5 Million Women Foundation, India - a women-led organisation working on nutrition, millets, women empowerment, skill development, and sustainable livelihoods.
